The mosque carries the name of Muhammad Mustafa and stands in Sadakhlo. Mustafa, meaning the chosen one, is one of the epithets of the Prophet, and mosques with this name are found throughout the Muslim world.
Sadakhlo is the most populous village of Marneuli Municipality, almost entirely Azerbaijani in composition, standing right on the border with Armenia. Tbilisi is about seventy five kilometres away. The village is known for carpet weaving and for quarrying marble limestone.
Women will need a headscarf. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
