The church of the Virgin Mary stands in the centre of Ozni village in Tsalka Municipality. It was built on the site of an older Georgian church and the stones of the earlier building went into the work, so the new church is literally made of the old one.
It is a three nave building with three apses on the east, the naves divided by two pairs of columns round in plan. The entrance is on the south and dressed with an arch outside and within, and windows are cut in the east, south and west walls.
The roof is gabled and a bell tower stands on its southern slope. Remains of an enclosure survive around the church, and there was once a cemetery in the yard. The same village also holds the church of Peter and Paul, by the cyclopean fortress.
