The convent stands in the rural part of Marneuli Municipality. The house is small, with a church and a residential block, and the nuns run the household themselves.
Marneuli Municipality is mainly Azerbaijani in composition, yet Orthodox parishes and houses are present here too. The Opreti church stands about two and a half kilometres away. Marneuli lies thirty kilometres south of Tbilisi on the Algeti river.
Enter quietly if the door is open, and do not disturb those at prayer. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
