The church of Saint Nino stands in Kvemo Bolnisi in Bolnisi Municipality. The hall building is laid of stone fragments of varying size and the plan is irregular. There were two entrances, on the south and west, but the western one has been pulled down while the southern survives: outside it is dressed with an architrave, inside with an arched opening, and niches are cut in the jambs.
The windows are small and oval, set in the east and south walls, and they widen towards the interior. The eastern one is made up of several stones and the southern is cut in a single stone. The apse is semicircular with a curved niche in its south wall, the arch of the vault rests on imposts, the walls of the hall are undivided, and the vault is carried straight onto them.
The main thing here is on the walls themselves: crosses of a later period and Armenian inscriptions are carved on the south and east facades. There are six of them: one to the left of the entrance, two to the right, two in the southeastern corner and one on the east wall. Sources place the building in the span from the 9th to the 15th century.
