The chapel of St. Elijah stands on the edge of Beshtasheni village in Tsalka Municipality. It is one of the three shrines of the village: a small place of prayer dedicated to the prophet Elijah.
Beshtasheni lies on the Tsalka plateau, in the upper Khrami valley. A few dozen steps to the west stand the St. George church and the St. Sophia chapel - all three holy places are easy to see in one short walk.
There are no regular services here, and the chapel can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
