Sabereebi is a cluster of cave complexes cut into the soft rock of the Gareji ridge, and the first of them consists of several chambers. This church is the middle one, distinguished by three arches hewn straight into the rock: they gave the church its name.
The place lies in the Gareji semi-desert, east of the main group of the cluster, closer to Kazlari. All around is dry rolling steppe, rare dirt ruts and almost no dwellings. Other groups of the same cluster are cut further west, on the Iormughanlo side, while the state border runs south of the ridge.
There is no monastic life here and no services, so the caves can be approached at any time. The rock is soft and crumbles easily, so there is no need to lean on the walls or vaults. The road is a steppe dirt track, heavy after rain: come in dry weather and bring water.
