The second place of prayer in Zemo Kedi is dedicated to the apostles Peter and Paul. What distinguishes it from the first, known by the name Lomisa, is exactly that clear dedication: the neighbouring salotsavi carries no saint name. Both belong to the same type, independent in the Georgian tradition.
The site stands half a kilometre from the neighbouring salotsavi, in Zemo Kedi, a village in the far south of Kakheti. All around is the Shiraki steppe plain of the Dedoplistskaro municipality: dry, almost treeless, with rare dirt roads and the state border close by.
A salotsavi usually keeps no schedule of services; the site is open and can be approached at any time. Summers here are hot with almost no shade, so bring water. The roads are unsurfaced and heavy after rain, and the two places of prayer of the village are best seen together, in one stop.
