The Saparisa church complex lies near Kisiskhevi in Telavi Municipality and consists of a three church basilica and a bell tower set up later five metres from it. Three naves are inscribed in the plan of the basilica, each working as a separate church, and the overall size is about thirteen metres to a side.
The building is laid of cobble of varying size with boulders turning up here and there, and the masonry is not linear. The corners are drawn in the same stone but selected for shape and size, while local shirimi was taken for the arches, some of the windows and the narthex.
Two entrances lead into the main church, from the south and the north, both from the side churches. Inside, the openings are dressed with tympana of a single stone: the northeastern one egg shaped, the southwestern semicircular. On the east a horseshoe apse is raised by a step, the sanctuary window is arched and narrows sharply towards the edge, with small niches on either side. Separate chapels are made in the south nave besides the church itself.
