A Catholic church in Lagodekhi Municipality, the only Catholic one among the local shrines. Catholic communities in Georgia are small and keep mostly to the towns, so a rural parish of this tradition is rarely met.
The name brings a double difficulty. There is a Khizabavra in Samtskhe Javakheti too, two hundred and fifty kilometres away, and that is an entirely different place. Besides, the nearest village lies some way off, and for now the location can be given no more precisely than the municipality.
