A parish church of Saint George standing in the middle of the village. The dedication is the commonest in Georgia, and in Puti it occurs twice: another church of the village carries the name Ilori.
Puti is a small village in the Imeretian part of the Zestafoni district, one of those that live along a single road and end where the vineyards begin. Another church stands about a kilometre to the east, so it is worth knowing before you set out which of the two you are heading for. No one names a date of building.
The church is in use, but there are no regular services and the doors may be locked. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf; if the church is shut, a neighbour usually keeps the key.
