A village church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God. The feast falls in early autumn and opens the church year, while in a Georgian village it coincides with the end of the harvest.
Persati lies in western Imereti, away from the main roads. The village name occurs in two spellings, with a p and with an f: the Georgian letter at the start is rendered into Latin in more than one way, which is where the variation on maps comes from. The second village church stands nearby, so Persati can be walked in full in a single visit. The date of building is not established.
There are no regular services, so a Sunday morning is the surer time to come. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf.
