A parish church of Saint George, known by the Kakhori quarter. What the word itself means is not explained, and we will not guess: quarter names in Georgian villages are often older than any paperwork.

Tsitelkhevi, the Red Ravine, has already appeared in this list: the ruins of an Ascension church stand there. Here we have the same locality but a working church, which makes a convenient pairing for one trip: a living church and the trace of a church site a couple of kilometres apart. The church is known by Tsitelkhevi yet stands by Persati, south of Kutaisi. The century of building is not established.

The parish is rural and services follow the church year. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf. Both churches of the ravine are easy to see in one visit.
