Atsana appears in this survey twice: besides the village church described separately, there is Okona. No dedication has become attached to the building; it is known precisely by that name.
The difference between the two churches of one village is noticeable: people clearly come to Okona more readily. That happens often, and usually it rests either on the standing of a particular place in prayer or simply on a habit formed over generations. The village lies on the level part of western Guria, in the chain of Shukhuti, Atsana, Mamati and Dzimiti.
You can walk up to the church at any time of day, which removes the question of planning when travelling through lowland Guria. Another church of the village stands a couple of hundred metres away. Dress soberly, women bring a headscarf.
