The church of the prophet Elijah stands in Khutsubani. In Adjara Elijah is venerated as the master of rain and thunder, and in coastal villages, where the weather turns quickly, many churches bear his name.
Khutsubani lies north-east of Kobuleti and keeps three shrines at once: besides this one there is the church of St Nino and the church of St George known as Tetrosani, the best known in this part of the municipality. It is about three kilometres from here.
There are no regular services, and visits are arranged with local people. The village is alive and the roads between its parts are short.
