The church of St George is known by the byname Tetrosani. What it means is not explained in the district, yet it is by that name that the church is recognised: the byname has stuck more firmly than the dedication itself.
It stands in Khutsubani, north-east of Kobuleti, and is the best known of the local shrines. The village also holds the church of St Nino, and the church of the prophet Elijah three kilometres away, while the Gvara locality, whose name is sometimes carried over to this building, has a St George church of its own.
There are no regular services, and visits are arranged with local people. On the feast of St George it gets crowded here and the church is opened.
