The church of St. Nino in Khutsubani is the working church of one of the villages closest to Kobuleti, consecrated in the name of the Enlightener of Georgia. Services are held, and the church gathers parishioners from all around, from Khutsubani to the neighbouring tea villages.
For a resort guest it is the easiest way to see the real parish life of the Adjarian countryside: it is a few minutes’ drive from the Kobuleti seafront. The village stands by the Chakhati road, so the visit continues naturally with the climb to the convent in Tskhemvani: together they make a small circle of the spiritual addresses of the Kobuleti hills.
Guests are met warmly, and the rules are usual: modest dress, a headscarf for women, silence during worship. On Sunday mornings the church is crowded: for a calm visit choose a weekday.
