Font in a new way, with a Georgian bias
The written language of Georgia fascinates with its artistic performance, the country preserves and honors customs, but at the same time does not interfere with the development of writing.
The Ministry of Justice on its official page shared information that three types of fonts are presented in Tbilisi. The presentation of these creative neoplasms took place, their basis is Georgian writing, and therefore the names are Anbandidi, Gragnili, Medea.
The calligrapher David Maisuradze worked on the creation. The National Archive provided access to the manuscripts, which guided the master. The help of the archive and the Jepra company was most welcome.
The motifs of ancient handwritten works became prototypes: the Gospel of Angband, the Story of Jason and Medea, the Sacrifice of John Chrysostom.
You can use these types for anyone who needs them for free. On the occasion of the five-year date when three types of the Georgian alphabet were included in the UNESCO Heritage List.
Aramaic and Greek writing had a wide influence on the traditions and creation of the Georgian script, a steep turn occurred after the adoption of the Christian faith. It was in the IV century. The early letter is asomtavruli (mrglovani). In the Middle Ages, this is the church writing or Nushuri. After the XI century, a civil type of writing appeared — mkhedruli.
