Georgia is preparing to celebrate the national holiday "Iliaoba" with respect to the Holy Prophet Elijah and Saint Elijah the Righteous

On August 2, a solemn event dedicated to the "Iliaoba" holiday will be held in the House-Museum of Ilya Chavchavadze, located in the picturesque village of Saguramo in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. The organizers have prepared a rich program, inviting guests to plunge into the atmosphere of the mountain culture of Georgia and celebrate this memorial day of two revered saints.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the Pshava songs that will be played throughout the day, as well as get to know more about the life and traditions of the inhabitants of the Pshav-Khevsureti region. The House Museum will present various examples of folk art, including unique works made of felt and other materials.

However, the national holiday "Iliaoba" will not be limited only to cultural events. The guests will be offered dishes of the mountain people, including the famous khinkali – magnificent dumplings with various fillings, as well as dambalhacho, an authentic Georgian cheese with mold from the historical region of Pshavi.
