Georgian wine was hospitably received in New York
The international exhibition of natural wines RAW Wine was held in New York, where Georgia presented its best samples of wines, the National Wine Agency reports. This event was attended by 13 Georgian companies and wine cellars specializing in the production of wine in clay jugs, known as "kvevri". The guests of the exhibition had the opportunity to get acquainted with the drink, the centuries-old traditions of winemaking, as well as with the culture and history of this drink. Winemakers note that great interest has been shown in the wine of Georgian producers.
The passed wine exhibition is famous for its specialization in high-quality natural and biodynamic wines. The organizer of this event is a well-known French expert in the field of wine Isabelle Legeron. She is included in the list of the 50 most influential women of the wine world, and is also the first and only female Master of Wine (MW) in France. Legeron has received many prestigious awards, including "Wine Woman of the Year" and the Madame Bollinger Award for Excellence in tasting.
The RAW WINE exhibition is designed to unite all producers of natural wine. This facilitates the exchange of experience among winemakers and the demonstration of the product to a wide range of producers. More than 30 exhibitions have already been held as part of this initiative.
Natural wine is a movement striving for simplicity and tradition in the production of wine. It is made organically, using permaculture, and does not undergo any changes or additives in the cellar. It does not use artificial technological additives, dense filtration or purification.
