Fruit sales abroad are in full swing
Last year, over 28 thousand tons of nectarines and peaches were harvested in Georgia. This year's harvest promises to be bigger, because only today almost 23,000 tons of fruit have already been exported in the country, the Ministry of Agriculture informed.
According to official data of the National Statistical Service of the country, Russia remains in the first place among importing countries. More than half of the production volume, which is almost 15,000 tons, was sold to Russian markets. A little more than 30 percent of the harvest was sent to Armenia for sale. Ukraine is in third place in terms of purchases - 592 tons of supplies.
