New data provided by the National Statistics Service "Sakstat" (Gruzstat) emphasize the stability and low inflation rate in Georgia. In November 2023, the deflation rate was 0.2%, which is comparable to October 2023.
According to the report, annual inflation in Georgia for November 2023 by November 2022 was only 0.1%, which turned out to be below the target level of 3%. In the previous month, in October 2023, annual inflation was 0.8%, which is also a relatively low indicator.
Experts assume that in the coming months, inflation rates will remain below the set level of 3%, and only in the medium term can they be expected to stabilize.
It should be noted that recently the Georgian government has actively taken up the issue of pricing policy. Fuel and essential food prices are constantly monitored, and reference prices for medicines have been introduced. These steps are aimed at maintaining the stability and well-being of citizens in the context of economic activity.
