"100 Investments for Business": Georgia privatizes state property for GEL 180 million
Since the beginning of the "100 Investment Proposals for Business" program in Georgia in 2019, state property totaling 180 million lari (more than $ 65 million) has been successfully privatized. Auctions and simplified privatization procedures under this program are key elements of the Government's strategy to attract investment and effectively use state property.
To date, GEL 127.5 million (more than $ 45 million) they have already been received by the country's budget, which underlines not only the success of the program, but also the importance of accelerated privatization as a source of budget revenues. The list of objects for privatization includes various real estate assets, such as industrial facilities, farms, medical institutions, sports infrastructure and hotels.
This approach is actively supported by the authorities of the country, considering accelerated privatization not only as a source of income, but also as a resource for the implementation of large-scale development programs. The program "100 Investment Proposals for Business" continues to have a positive impact on the economic development of Georgia, making the country more attractive to investors.
