The church of Saint George in Napareuli in Telavi Municipality consists of two parts: an elongated hall of about eight metres by five and a low annexe adjoining it from the northeast and bonded to the church by shared masonry. An annexe of the same kind evidently stood on the south as well, though this cannot be confirmed without further survey.
The building is laid of stone fragments of varying size and the masonry is uneven. The later restored parts, the vault, the conch of the apse, the cornice and the upper tier, are drawn in brick, and on the outside brick alternates with cobble in even courses in the upper stretches of the walls. The walls are plastered and whitewashed inside and out.
The roofing of the church and of the northeastern annexe has collapsed, the tops of the walls and the upper tier are lost as well, and wide cracks run through the cross walls almost their full height. There are two rectangular entrances, later narrowed, on the south and west sides. Sources assign the building to the 14th and 15th centuries.
