Buses and minibuses
Intercity minibuses in Georgia still mostly sell tickets on the spot — at Didube bus station in Tbilisi and at Samtredia. Some routes, including Tbilisi — Yerevan and Tbilisi — Istanbul, can be booked online through carrier websites and the Ecolines aggregator. For airport transfers, taxi in Georgia via Bolt or Yandex Go is the most convenient option. Scooter rentals are a handy alternative for short city trips.
Practical tips
Buy tickets in advance — especially for July and August. Refunds are available: Georgian Railway allows cancellation up to 3 hours before departure (with a fee), airlines follow their own fare rules. Paying with a card from one of the reliable Georgian banks — TBC or Bank of Georgia — is the most straightforward option. Install mobile apps for easy navigation and transport across the country.
You can find transport companies and transfer services by city in the Madloba catalogue.
