Rustavi is about 25 kilometres southeast of Tbilisi, a 30-40 minute trip. Minibuses run often, including from Samgori metro station, and an app taxi is inexpensive. Rustavi is known for its motor racing circuit, Soviet architecture and the ancient fortress that gave the city its name.
