Minibus or taxi along the coast.

Short answer

Poti is about 70 kilometres north of Batumi, an hour to an hour and a half along the coast. Minibuses run from Batumi bus station, while a taxi or transfer costs more but is more convenient. Poti is Georgia's main seaport, with a cathedral, lighthouse and Lake Paliastomi worth seeing.
