Food Agency finds non-compliance in an olive oil sample
The National Food Agency reported that a tested sample of Turkish Ayvalık olive oil in 5-litre metal packaging did not comply with requirements on the content of certain contaminants. The BIOR laboratory carried out the analysis, and the agency stressed that the result applies to the specific sample.
As part of the 2026 inspection of oils and fats, 71 samples had been taken by the date of the report. BPN published the agency's statement on 23 October 2026.
