GNERC Revokes Kamari M Gas Distribution Licence; Company Served 4,572 Consumers

The Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) has revoked the licence of the gas distribution company Kamari M. According to BM.GE’s October 8 report, the decision was taken at an extraordinary session because of the urgent need to ensure uninterrupted and safe gas supply to consumers.

The report states that the licence was withdrawn because the company failed to meet its obligation to provide continuous and reliable gas supply. It had also accumulated a significant debt to the wholesale supplier. Gas deliveries to Kamari M were stopped on 5 October 2026. At that point the company served 4,572 consumers.
