The Church of Our Lady of Chachubeti, built of polished stone in the 8th century, has survived to this day in almost pristine condition.

Church of Our Lady of Chachubeti is located in the central region of Georgia - Shida Kartli, in the village of Chachubeti, under the municipality of Kaspi.

Attractions of Georgia are ancient monuments of history, which are carefully preserved by people as a memory of their ancestors. Although the church was built in the VIII-IX centuries, it has reached our days almost without loss of its appearance, thanks to the fact that it was built of polished stone and cobblestones. It is a massive hall building.

The walls of the temple are decorated with medieval fine paintings and relief crosses. The images belong to the faces of saints and praying monks. There are several ways to enter the church: through the southern, northern and western entrances. On the eastern facade there is a cross of relief material, it is closed in a circle.

Vaults were added on three sides of the church in XVI-XVII centuries, which are connected with each other by means of arches. The most massive outbuilding is the southern one, it is divided into three parts: an anteroom, the middle one, which rises above the side ones, forming a steep slope. The northern annex is more modest, but also worthy of attention. Here through a carved door one can enter the church building.
