One of the important and significant monuments in the “6 May” park in Batumi is the monument to Fadiko Gogitidze, one of the first female pilots in Georgia and the first pilot from Adjara. The monument is installed in the center of the colonnade at the entrance to the park and serves as a reminder of the life and heroism of this amazing woman.

Fadiko was a talented pilot and instructor at the Batumi flying club. Her life was cut short at the age of just 24 when she died during a test flight. The monument was forgotten for a long time, but thanks to the efforts of the public and local authorities, it was restored in 2019, adding the inscription to the memorial: “Fadiko Gogitidze, 1916-1940. The first female aviator from Adjara." Now everyone who passes by can find out about it.

Красивая скульптура на входе в парк, но наверное мало кто из туристов знает кто именно изображен.
