Bust of Israfil Dzhincharadze in the park on May 6

Among the green spaces of the “6 May” park in Batumi you can see a bust of an outstanding hero - Israfil Kemalovich Dzhincharadze. Junior lieutenant of the Red Army and Hero of the Soviet Union, his name is forever inscribed in history thanks to his courage and bravery during the Great Patriotic War.
Born in the village of Makhinjauri, Israfil became a symbol of heroism and dedication. His posthumous award of the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for his exemplary performance of combat missions was well-deserved recognition of his contribution to the victory over the fascist invaders. Dzhincharadze was also awarded the Orders of Lenin, the Patriotic War, 1st degree, and the Red Star.
The monument was erected in honor of this hero near the entrance to the park to remind visitors of the great feat and sacrifices made for the sake of victory.
