Отель "Hotel New Metekhi"

A small hotel in an old building. Breakfast is served at the table, but there's not much choice. The location is perfect for exploring on foot. The rooms are quite small, but adequate for one person. You can hear noise from outside and the hallway.

The host was very friendly, and the location was great, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives stop. We were assigned a basement room with a tiny window, which made it dark, cold, and incredibly damp. After a rainy day, our clothes wouldn’t dry due to the humidity. The bathroom had the same problem; the towels remained wet the whole time, even with the ventilation on. Moreover, the towels were synthetic, which made them feel uncomfortable and ineffective after a shower.

The room felt perpetually damp. The bedding was also cold and humid, which caused me to freeze at night and eventually catch a cold, even though it was late May.

Breakfast was peculiar. Each table received fixed portions, like two eggs and two slices of cheese for two people, along with bowls of cottage cheese and yogurt that we didn’t touch. This led to a lot of wasted food every day. Additionally, there was a different hot dish served daily, like plain dry buckwheat or dry pasta without any sides or sauce. The food I enjoyed was served in very small portions, leaving me hungry after breakfast.

The only real advantage of this place is its fantastic location. However, given the overall experience, I wouldn’t return or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Отель выглядит довольно старым, номера требуют ремонта и очень скромные. Разница между люксом и экономом лишь в наличии балкона и цене. Уборка не проводилась ни разу за три дня, мусор вынесли только через два дня, а полотенца никто не менял. Завтрак напоминает домашний, подается в столовой. Отель состоит из двух зданий. Единственное преимущество - хорошее расположение, прямо напротив станции метро Авлабари.

Rigtig godt hotel til prisen. Værelset og toilettet var rummelige. Venligt personale, men de har ikke så meget engelsk. Morgenmadsbuffeten var okay. God beliggenhed tæt på metro og bus samt nogle seværdigheder.

The room was cozy and provided a comfortable stay. It’s situated in a great location with a nice view. The breakfast service was also good.

The bus stop for the 337 from the airport and the metro station are nearby, and within a 5-minute walk, there are several supermarkets and local restaurants, which is convenient. The tour meeting points are often at the "I love Tbilisi" sign in the old town, but it's just a 10-minute downhill walk from the hotel. The place is run by an elderly couple, who are very kind, though they don't speak much English. The room is kept warm with central heating. There's no issue with hot water in the bathroom or with the Wi-Fi.

Провели двое суток в этом отеле с подругой — и остались очень довольны. Расположение великолепное: всего пара минут до Рифе Парка, где приятно гулять. Хотя ночью район немного тихий, совершенно безопасно, что добавляет комфорта. Персонал обеспечивает великолепный сервис и ощущение настоящего гостеприимства. Очень приятно, что нам дали более просторный номер — такая забота оставила теплые воспоминания. Завтраки в формате шведского стола радовали разнообразием и вкусными блюдами каждое утро. Идеальный старт дня, создающий особое очарование пребывания. Спасибо за замечательное гостеприимство! С нетерпением ждем возвращения.

George is incredible.

George provided excellent service and greeted us warmly. Being our first stay in Tbilisi, we immediately felt at home in the city. Later, he gave us a tour of the hotel and served us a delicious breakfast. A fantastic person in a fantastic place. Would happily visit again!
