The Children's Moving Puppet Theater, attached to the Shota Rustaveli State University of Theater and Cinema in Tbilisi, is a unique and innovative cultural space. The theater is part of an educational institution and makes a significant contribution to the development of puppetry and theater education in Georgia.
This theater is special in that it uses puppets capable of complex and expressive movements, which significantly expands the possibilities for storytelling and artistic expression. Moving puppet theater performances can incorporate elements of traditional puppetry, modern animation techniques, and even elements of interactivity.
The theater is aimed primarily at children's audiences, striving to develop children's interest in art and theater from an early age. Puppet shows are often based on fairy tales and legends, teaching children about Georgian and world cultural traditions, as well as teaching them the values of goodness, justice and friendship.
In addition, the Children's Moving Puppet Theater plays an important role in the university's educational program, giving students the opportunity to learn the art of puppetry and practically apply their skills in real-life theater projects. This contributes to the development of a new generation of theater professionals.
