The monument to King Vakhtang I Gorgasal is majestically located on the edge of the cliff, next to the Metekhi Temple. Although the monument was installed not so long ago, in the second half of the last century, it perfectly fits into the architecture of the city and does not get out of it at all.
The monument itself is an equestrian statue, King Vakhtang I Gorgasal sits majestically on a horse and looks into the distance. It is best to view this monument from an elevation to see it as close as possible.
If you are in Tbilisi, do not ignore this small but historically significant monument.
