The best boutique hotel in the capital of Georgia "Communal Hotel Sololaki"

The first few days in Tbilisi were fantastic thanks to my stay at the hotel. The room was truly delightful, and I really enjoyed the breakfast every morning.

Unforgettable stay! Huge thanks to George from the staff for his exceptional help. I requested to keep the rooftop terrace open past 5:00 PM, and he made it happen by coordinating with the neighbors. His dedication gave us one of the most memorable moments ever. The hotel feels more like a welcoming family home than a regular hotel. It’s cozy, clean, and beautifully designed. The atmosphere is intimate, the rooms are spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We can't recommend this place enough and are already excited to return. Thanks again to George and the entire team for making our stay truly special.

The breakfasts are truly exceptional! From homemade yogurt to fresh honeycomb, syrupy walnuts, cheese, and fresh bread... It's lovely to chat with fellow guests around the large table. Our first nights in Georgia were spent here, and it was the perfect way to start our trip. The staff (and local cats) are welcoming, and it's easy to quickly feel at home. The neighborhood is easy to navigate, and you can walk to the old town without much effort. One day, we went for an early bath and scrub and returned in time for breakfast. Nearby, there are charming craft and gift shops, as well as several spots to eat or drink. Our room opened onto the balcony/terrace, and we made sure to use the hammock. It felt like staying at someone's home. Special thanks to Salome, Gio, the breakfast chef, and all the staff.

Вокруг множество баров и ресторанов в пяти минутах ходьбы, подходящих на любой вкус. Номер оказался просторным и чистым, есть все необходимое для комфортного проживания, а кровать — большая и удобная. Интерьер отеля интересный и запоминающийся. Завтрак в национальном стиле — разнообразный и очень вкусный. Персонал был крайне гостеприимен и вежлив, всегда готовы помочь в любом вопросе.

This place was a true treasure. Located in a safe and lively part of Sololaki, we loved wandering around and chilling on the porch. Of all the spots we stayed at in Tbilisi, we ended up hanging out here the most because it was so welcoming. And the breakfast, oh wow, the breakfast was beyond anything I've ever experienced—totally worth the stay just for that. The staff were incredibly kind and felt like friends by the time we left. Such a special place and a wonderful introduction to Tbilisi.

During my stay, I found both positives and negatives that impacted my experience. The room's cleanliness was quite lacking; I discovered several hairs under the sheets from a previous guest, which was unpleasant and raised concerns about housekeeping standards. Additionally, the rooms were not soundproofed, and I could hear noise from the hallway and nearby rooms, making relaxation or sleep difficult for light sleepers.

On the plus side, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always striving to make guests feel welcome. Despite this, I felt the hotel was overpriced considering the issues with cleanliness and noise. It seemed there might be better alternatives available at a similar or lower price nearby. While the staff's hospitality was commendable, the overall value was not up to expectations, making it challenging to recommend without hesitation. Addressing these issues could make it a more attractive choice.

We faced some initial trouble as our check-in was bumpy; we didn't receive the self check-in details due to a booking.com issue, leaving us outside. Luckily, another guest helped us get in, and once we reached the staff, they were very supportive and made us feel comfortable. My AirPods disappeared from my locked suitcase during my stay. It seems like this is a common problem here. Two other guests mentioned similar incidents in their reviews on booking.com. Even though I provided the exact location of my AirPods using Apple's FindMy app, the hotel refuses to take responsibility or help me recover them from their staff.

This place covered all the essentials for a wonderful stay.

Инструкция по заселению оказалась непонятной — какой именно сейф открывать, не ясно. На телефонные звонки отель не отвечал, поддержки не было. Пришлось будить соседей, чтобы связаться с персоналом. Вайфай работал плохо и нестабильно. Нет кастрюли, чтобы приготовить макароны, которые имеются в номере. Пятна на постельном белье. Терминал оплаты не работал при выезде, из-за чего пришлось ждать, хотя я спешил.

Stayed for over 10 days with two rooms. The place is stunning, conveniently located, and incredibly comfortable. Everything was spotless, and the service was exceptional. We needed to adjust our stay dates, but it was handled smoothly. Thanks for the warm welcome on our first visit to Georgia. We're definitely coming back.

Stayed here for 5 nights at the start and end of our amazing trip to Georgia. Highly recommend it. Why? Quiet rooms (we tried two different ones). Peaceful street away from traffic noise. Just a 10-15 minute walk to Liberty Square, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby (like Dine and Wine, just 80 meters away on the same street). The staff is very friendly. Incredible breakfast buffet. A few small improvements could be made. You can't call the hotel directly as it's part of a group of 4 hotels. My mattress was a bit too soft. Tip: Check out the hotel in Kutaisi; it seems to be the best one. We will return.

Цены на номера приятно удивляют). Расположение, на мой взгляд, идеальное - в районе Сололаки. Немного вверху, на подъеме. Однако сам район представляет собой антикварную шкатулку, где каждый дом, подъезд и дворик - настоящий шедевр. К сожалению, старый Тбилиси в настоящее время находится в разрушенном состоянии, что вызывает грусть. Вернусь к отелю: все номера разнообразны и аутентичны, в полном соответствии с духом Сололаки.

Service in Tbilisi is hard to match! The hotel creates a cozy, family-like atmosphere, yet the service surpasses that of some 5-star establishments. Our room on the ground floor was spotless, with the bathroom kept in immaculate condition and a comfortably warm ambiance. Traveling with a small child was made easier by the availability of a private kitchen and utensils.

Charming hotel located in the quieter area near Sololaki, Tbilisi. The room was compact but beautifully designed, and the staff, especially Tamta, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a special experience, with all guests gathered around a large table filled with yogurt, fresh and dried fruits, pastries, bread, cheese, eggs, vegetables, orange juice, coffee, and tea. It felt like sitting down to a work of art, and sharing the meal was a delightful idea. We wished we could have extended our stay! Tamta was incredibly helpful when we arrived late in the evening and discovered that my husband left his jacket and cap at a hotel in Sighnaghi. She communicated with the hotel owner there, who sent the items by marschrutka to Tbilisi. Tamta then arranged a taxi to collect them and deliver it to us a day before our departure. Huge thanks for the wonderful assistance!

Our room was roomy and had a partial skylight, making it feel very cozy. The bathroom was large, and the hot shower was steady. They offer high-quality organic products like shampoo and liquid soap. Breakfast was fantastic. There's no private parking, but you can easily find a spot on the nearby street. The staff, especially Elean, was incredible—super friendly and very helpful. Communication in English was excellent.

Visited for the second time. This hotel has a great vibe and is located in a lovely area of Tbilisi. Breakfast is a unique experience, served at a large communal table. It might feel a bit unusual initially, but it's a great way to meet and chat with other guests.

It's one of the best places I've ever stayed. We spent 7 nights there, and everything was just perfect. I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends.

The room and breakfast were fine, but staying in the downstairs rooms was really disappointing due to the noise. There was constant disturbance from the reception area, guests coming and going at all hours, and loud music from the breakfast room. The downsides greatly outweighed any positives.

I received a refund for my stay, which I greatly appreciate. I especially want to express my gratitude for the kindness shown during a very difficult situation for my husband and me. We were sent back from the Georgia airport because the Georgian authorities believed my husband lacked the proper documents, despite having all necessary approvals from the Georgian embassy, Dubai immigration, and Fly Dubai. Even though everything was in order, and we had our stay and return flights booked, my husband was sent back to Dubai, and I was supposed to explore Georgia alone. I decided to return with him, and we canceled our holiday, which was our first trip after the lockdown. This kind of experience has been highlighted in various articles as ongoing, with others facing similar issues, particularly those holding Indian or Pakistani passports. Being refunded changed our perception, showing that not everyone in Georgia is unkind. If we ever decide to visit again, it will be because of the compassion and fairness shown by returning our money. Thank you, and God bless you. 🙏

This place is a true pleasure! The staff is incredibly helpful and polite. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is served on a large table, inviting guests to chat with each other. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet interesting people and learn from them. There's a sunny terrace on the second floor that is perfect for relaxing. The Wifi is fast, and the price is very reasonable, around $100 per night. If only something could be done about the neighbor's dog that barks non-stop, it would benefit both the hotel and the neighborhood.

Балкон оказывается общим: днём им пользуются все гости, а вечером он делится с соседями. По утрам можно увидеть соседей за окном в двух метрах от кровати, так что приходится спать с занавешенными окнами. Отделка номера оставляет желать лучшего: он небольшой и не очень удобный. Не представляю, куда поставить второй чемодан, так как в номере всего один стул. Вешалок в комнате почти нет, шкафов нет совсем. В ванной тоже тесно: места для косметики хватает только на одну сумочку. Завтрак средний, особого разнообразия не заметил. Места за столами немного — всего два стола, так что не получится позавтракать в одиночестве. Прямо за вами будут ходить другие гости, накрывая себе на завтрак. Внешний вид отеля красив для фотографий, но жить в нём не слишком уютно. Возможно, в других номерах ситуация лучше. Было бы неплохо завести на ресепшн аптечку с базовыми лекарствами. Мелочь, а иногда может выручить.

Nestled right in the heart of the old town, this hotel is stunning. The rooms were wonderful, and the communal breakfast was fantastic. The table was always packed with a variety of jams, honey, cheese, fruits, breads, cereal, and cake, to name a few. While it would’ve been great to have some plant-based milk options, it didn’t really impact our overall fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the central location made it easy to walk to Freedom Square, the Friendship Bridge, and the Mother of Georgia. Highly recommended!

I especially appreciated how they kept in touch via WhatsApp, always ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic, with groceries, bars, restaurants, and pharmacies all within walking distance. Taxis are very affordable, and using the Bolt app makes it easy to get anywhere. The highlight of my stay was the wonderful staff. Nuca, Sally, Zuka, and everyone else, including the extremely polite housekeeping staff, were extraordinary, professional, and naturally welcoming. Coming from a hospitality background and having studied in Switzerland, I have traveled widely, yet I have never encountered such a remarkable team. Thanks to the owner for supporting these individuals in growing with humility, love, and excellence. The loud music outside my room was not to my liking, and other guests tried to enter my room, which was unsettling. It would have been nice if there was an option to have breakfast in the room due to COVID, rather than dining with strangers.

This small, cozy hotel is simply perfect:) The staff is incredibly helpful with everything, from restaurant recommendations to PCR tests and transfers. The breakfast is fantastic, and the location couldn't be better! Highly recommend!!

This is a unique traditional house in the old town that's been modernized to high standards. While many places only have superficial updates, here they made structural changes while maintaining the architectural integrity and the charm of Sololaki. The place is not only stylish but also has a cozy atmosphere. My favorite feature was the bathtub, which was incredibly luxurious. The hotel has an outdoor terrace with a view of the side of Mtatsminda Mountain. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Just a heads up, the walls are thin, but it’s not a major issue.
