A sakdari is what Georgians call a small church or a place of prayer. This one is dedicated to the Mother of God and bears a rare name: the word for crow stands in its title. Such folk bynames are no rarity among Georgian shrines, keeping the memory of old places.
The sakdari stands away from any houses, among the hills of Mtskheta-Mtianeti near Saguramo. The place is quiet and the shrine itself is not spotted at once: follow the coordinates. Two and a half kilometres away stands the church of St. George Kasuri, and a little further the Marian church of Saguramo.
There are no regular services here; the place can be visited at any time. Treat the old walls with care, take nothing apart and nothing away.
