The church of St. George stands in Tsipori village in the east of Shida Kartli. Part of the records list it simply as the Tsipori church, and the dedication is not given everywhere.
The village lies southeast of Kaspi, in the hills of the Kavti area. The church of the Virgin at Gudaleti and the basilica of the Archangels in Varjaani stand nearby, and Tsinarekhi with its churches begins to the north.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
