The church of St. George stands in Nigoza village of Kaspi Municipality. The name of the village echoes the word nigozi, Georgian for walnut.
Nigoza lies north of Kaspi, across the Mtkvari valley, in the hills. The village is not to be confused with Nikozi near Gori: the names are similar, but these are different places at opposite ends of Shida Kartli.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
