The church of St George stands by Jvartmukha village, south of Khashuri. Its name also carries the name of the town, though the church itself is outside the town limits, by the village.
The site lies on the plain among fields and orchards. Less than a kilometre away is the folk shrine of Jvartmukha, and three kilometres on the Dzeli Cheshmariti church in Kriskhevi.
