The church of St. George stands in the hills near Bobnevi village of Gori Municipality. The name Kevisakdari is made of two words: khevi, a gorge, and sakdari, the folk word for a church.
The area lies west of Gori, between Bobnevi and Ikvnevi, where villages are scattered along the valleys. Closer to Bobnevi stand a church of St. George and the Kviratskhoveli church.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. The roads here are unpaved, so dry weather makes the drive easier.
