The church in Kvemo Buzmareti is consecrated to the Assumption of the Mother of God. The building is new: it was raised for the local community and remains the main sanctuary of this part of the valley.
Kveda means lower in Georgian: that is how the upper and lower parts of Buzmareti are told apart. The village lies in the hills west of Adigeni, among meadows and forested slopes.
The doors are opened for services; better ask in the village about the times. Modest dress is appropriate for a visit.
