The Berta monastery stands by Uraveli village in Akhaltsikhe municipality, in the foothills south of the town. The name of the monastery comes from the locality, and it is known by that name throughout the area.
Uraveli lies in the valley of the river of the same name, among villages strung up the gorge. Three kilometres away stands the Kvemo Machikheti church by Muskhi, and a little further the Akhdila church and the church of St. Andrew in Andriatsminda.
For pilgrims: modest dress, shoulders and knees covered, quiet on the grounds. Follow the coordinates; the road runs through the village.
