Of the Amkhi monastery only ruins remain: walls and fragments of buildings in the mountains near Kekhovani village. No services are held here, and the site is kept as a memorial place.
Forested slopes of the western part of Adigeni Municipality lie all around, closer to the Meskheti range. The road climbs from the village, and the last stretches are done on foot.
Walking inside the ruins is unsafe: the masonry crumbles in places. View the buildings from outside and keep to the path.
