Chatini, also known as Chatintau, is an impressive peak rising above the mountainous region of Georgia in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, in the territory of the Mestia Municipality. With its 4412 meters in height, it seems like an inaccessible wall on the southern slope of the main Caucasian watershed ridge.
Chatini amazes with its antiquity and power - its rocks consist of ancient Paleozoic granitoids, creating a unique nival landscape. The rivers flowing from the slopes of this peak feed the Chalaati glacier, which makes this region not only beautiful, but also significant from a hydrological point of view.
The first successful ascent of Chatini took place back in 1937, and since then it has attracted climbers and nature lovers with its mysterious attractiveness and challenge.
