The church of the Saviour stands in Tsaldashi, a Svan village of the Mulakhi community. It is one of the three shrines of the village: the Lamaria Marian church and the church of St. George stand nearby.
Tsaldashi lies eleven kilometres from Mestia. The St. George church of the same village is six hundred metres away, the church of Chvabiani seven hundred, and the Majvdieri church of the Holy Trinity a kilometre and a half.
