The pride of Samegrelo is the Kvauti Complex, the embodiment of history and architectural excellence in the heart of the village of Kvauti, Senaki municipality. This ancient complex, dating back to the 4th-6th centuries, surprises with its majestic beauty and importance for the cultural heritage of Georgia.

Kvauti has a unique architecture, including a fortress and the Church of the Holy Archangels. Although history has caused serious damage to these wonderful structures, today they have been restored, coming to life before the eyes of visitors.

The fortress, guarded by a steep cliff on the north side, has an oval shape, reinforced with buttresses. Its central part rises above the surrounding area, creating a majestic appearance. The church, located in the heart of the fortress, delights with its hall type of architecture and the elegance of its details. Six windows allow light into the interior, illuminating traces of patterns and natural colors on the stone walls from ancient times.

The greatness of the Kvauti Complex lies not only in its historical significance, but also in its beauty, attracting those who seek to immerse themselves in the ancient secrets and cultural heritage of Georgia.
