Abedati is a monastery for men of the Dormition of the Mother of God by Lekajaie village in Martvili municipality. The Dormition is one of the chief Marian feasts, and Georgia has many houses dedicated to it.
The monastery stands in the hilly part of the municipality, eight kilometres from Martvili. A kilometre and a half away works the St. George church of Targameuli, two kilometres off the church of Kvirike and Ivlita by Kvirike village, and four and a half kilometres the church of Joachim and Anna, which also carries the Abedati name.
