Green Lake is located in Kulbaki village, Tsageri Municipality, among the natural attractions of the region, at an elevation of about 955 metres. This isn't a natural body of water: the site was originally a marsh, which a local farmer transformed into a lake by building a dam, a restaurant and a trout farm.
Today it's a well-developed leisure spot: visitors can go boating, walk the forest trails around the lake, try fresh trout at the on-site restaurant, or fish. Another pond, known as Grandmother's Lake, lies just 300 metres away, making it easy to combine both stops in one walk.
The lake is surrounded by forest and mountains, with a calm atmosphere well suited to family outings and quiet weekends away from tourist crowds.
