The ruins of the Zhaleti monastic complex lie near Chekuraantkori village in Tianeti Municipality. The complex is known by the church of Saint George. It is a hall of about seven metres by six with an annexe running along its whole length, laid of unevenly set stone fragments of varying size.
A rectangular entrance leads in from the south, through the annexe. An arched window with rectangular niches on either side is cut on the axis of the deep horseshoe apse. The apse is separated from the hall by two tier walls carrying a semicircular two tier triumphal arch, and a screen wall was later added as well. Remains of an altar table survive against the wall beneath the apse window.
Outside, a cubic volume with a niche for a cross adjoins the northern part of the apse, and a stairway runs around the apse. A small fragment of a mural survives on the west wall. The southern annexe is divided in two by a cross wall: the eastern part is an apse and the western the church gate, with a narrow passage between them, and the annexe is covered by a half cylindrical vault.
