The fathers house is dedicated to the Twelve Apostles. It is known by the name Abano and stands by Ketrisi village: both names are in use, and this causes no confusion, as the places lie side by side.
The house of the Dormition at Abano itself stands about eight hundred and forty metres away, the Lower Trinity church of Suatisi three and a half kilometres off. Beyond them there are no shrines in this mountain country for tens of kilometres.
The rules are monastic: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf for women, quiet, photography by permission. The road here is a mountain one and drifts over in winter, so it is better to come in the warm season, and an hour is enough to walk both Abano houses.
